Hoosier Appaloosa Association Facts
The Hoosier Appaloosa Association is one of three ApHC-chartered associations in Indiana. The HAA membership is drawn primarily from Central and Southern Indiana, although our membership list extends into Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky.
HAA is the sponsoring clubs for one of the largest regional Appaloosa show in the nation, the Freedom Special, held every Spring at C Bar C Arena, in Cloverdale, IN.
Additionally, HAA holds a futurity day show. This futurity is for weanlings and yearlings nominated in January of that year. The futurity will be held September 14-15, 2019, at the C Bar C Arena in Cloverdale, IN along with a full ApHC Show, the Freedom Classic.
The HAA has many programs and events for members. All HAA members can nominate their horse or themselves in a variety of classes (Performance, Youth, Non-Pro and even Open Show competition) and win year-end awards. HAA holds an annual awards banquet in November to recognize those High-Point winners from the previous show season. The club conducts monthly membership meetings from October through April (since we all see each other almost every weekend at shows from May through September…)
